Welcome to the University of Central Florida’s chapter of Phi Eta Sigma. My name is Kaitlyn Stelzer and I am the President of PES for the 2017-2018 academic year. I am a senior at UCF majoring in Political Science with minors in Public Administration and Business Administration. I was inducted into PES in 2015 and was elected Secretary in 2016. Not only has PES been a great way to get involved at UCF, but also it has been a great way to gain leadership experience. I would encourage any first year student eligible to join to become a member.

Phi Eta Sigma is the oldest and largest first year honor society with members from diverse backgrounds. It is open to all majors, which gives you the opportunity to meet people outside of your classes that you may have never met otherwise. Along with that, there are leadership and philanthropic opportunities. As an organization we participated in Knight-Thon for the first time last year and will hopefully be participating again this year. We also try to hold a social event once a month where members can get to know each other. Some previous socials we have had are bowling, ice cream, and a trampoline park. The more active you are as a member, the more you get out of your membership.

Let’s make this year the best ever!

Go Knights! Charge on!!
